This experience provides an opportunity for creatives to pursue advance their creative writing and story-telling. The purpose of this class is three-fold:

1) to engage Creatives in the careful reading and critical analysis of imaginative/creative literature, thus deepening their understanding of the ways writers use language to provide both meaning and pleasure for their readers

2) to enable Creatives to create works of literature in various genres, including, but not limited to: short story/fiction, creative nonfiction, drama, and poetry, and

3) to prepare Creatives with the reading, analytical, and writing skills necessary for success in writing, publishing, and story-telling.
